Emily is currently studying her final year on FdA Fahion Design technology; designer pattern cutter. She has previously showcased her work at the Museum of London in November 2012 and is currently working on a collection to show this year. She came 2nd for The Kangaroo Design A Shoe competition and loves to try to bring her garments to life with customized accessories. When completing work experience at Hachette Filipacchi Publications she was published in Sugar Magazine and also worked for Cosmopolitan and Red. Moving forward Emily is passionate about creating an animal friendly collection that not only uses innovative and sustainable fabrics but that also promotes the issue of animal welfare within the fashion industry in a fun, edgy and fashionable approach. I am currently studying on a foundation degree in Hair and Makeup for Film and TV. I am passionate, hard working and ambitious and have learnt a number of new skills on the course. These include wig making, postiche, basic hair styling, specific material and product knowledge and application/ creation of prosthetics in foam latex and silicone. I thrive meeting and working with new people and am friendly and keen to expand on my new skills. I have been able to develop personally and professionally whilst studying. Advancing within this discipline is now key and I am seeking work opportunities in either the hair or makeup department.

I am a knitwear student, i have always loved creating and drawing, i have a strong background and interest in textiles. Colour is something that i find particularly exciting and is a vital part of my work. I am very drawn to the idea of gender representation through clothes - whether it be boxy shapes that conceal the body, uni-sex clothes or highly genderised, this is something i wish to explore further during my time at lcf.
